Isle of Skye Anniversary Session
Courtney and Chandler visited Scotland from North Carolina in the USA to celebrate their fourth wedding anniversary. We spent a few hours with them exploring the Isle of Skye for their anniversary session. Skye is the perfect location to explore for an anniversary photo shoot, as there are so many epic and beautiful spots to choose from on the island. The distances between spots isn’t that big, allowing you to visit multiple locations during a half day adventure session.
We started the day at the Quiraing in the north of the island, and they got to see why Skye is also known as the Misty Isle. Courtney and Chandler were visiting during Autumn / Fall and they wore the perfect outfits to complement the Autumnal colours of the landscape.
We then headed to the Fairy Glen, where the rain started coming down. It rains a lot on Skye and we mean A LOT. In fact during the last two months it has rained almost every single day at some point, so we always tell our couples to expect rain, and to embrace it, as it actually makes for some pretty amazing images. We always bring along dryrobes and handwarmers to keep couples dry and warm, so you don’t need to worry about the weather.
After we’d explored the Fairy Glen we headed to one of our favourite waterfalls on Skye, which is one of the quiet spots on the island, as the tourists haven’t found it yet.
We ended the morning at a pair of ancient standing stones that have been on Skye for over 3000 years.
